Sydney's central business district is a maze of streets and alleys that grew with the arrival of the 1st settlers. As Sydney grew so did our shopping districts, our arcades, street frontage and major shopping areas. Like any sophisticated centre, Sydney offers a massive variety of products and services, but the intent of this is finding the best antiques in and round the Sydney metro area.

From The Rocks, to the Strand Arcade, QVB and the abundant sidestreets, Sydney and surrounds offers a massive range of jewelry, object d'art, collectibles and rare finds that will surely suit all hunters.
One of the oldest areas of Sydney is The Rocks, literally formed with the appearance of the first fleet in 1788 where our settlers created the first open air prison, transforming into a flourishing harbour community. With such a rich history, this forms the background for numerous estabished antique stores, including Bottom of the Harbour and Margo Richards where you can source nautical collectibles and a large range of vintage gifts.
Heading away from the harbour of Circular Quay into the city you come to the renowned Strand Arcade. Built in 1892, the Strand Arcade is the only one still in its original form of the 5 arcades that were built in the middle-to-late 19th Century. Spread over three stories, accessible via Pitt and George Streets, this well established building is home to many stores offering gifts and collectables. On the Ground floor, sitting right in the centre, is one of the oldest antique dealers in the arcade, Victoria & Albert Antiques whose wide display spans from antiques through vintage and retro. Also close by are Tresors and SVW Fredman. In but a little distance you can buy some of Sydney's finest jewelry, offering watches, clocks, albert chains, fobs, and more spanning the eighteenth, nineteenth and 20th Centuries.
A nearby building, Queen Victoria Building was finished in 1898. Originally the Sydney markets it was constructed as a tribute to Queen Victoria and is now known simply as the QVB. If looking for modern jewelry, this is home to some of Sydney's leading designers and outlets including Georg Jensen, Bunda boutique and lots more. QVB is also home to Martin & Stein and Kalmar Antiques, both renowned for their wonderful jewellery.

Which Brand of Hair Dye Best Covers Silver or Gray Hair?
I just used L'Oreal Preference. On the box is claims to cover grey, but once I rinsed it out I noticed I still had a couple of silver strands. I need a dye with 100% coverage. Which drugstore brands work?
To the last poster below, I'd be interested in knowing what substance causes melanin to start activating. However, I'm also seeking a cheap and effective way to cover my hair, and this could be expensive. I'm 35, but I don't have any wrinkles. I'm 5' 2" and 118 lbs, and because I have good skin and am so petite, people honestly think I'm about 10 years younger than I look. I've been dying my hair since I was 16 to change the color, so my concern isn't with people noticing that I dye it. Even if I didn't have any grey I would still be dying my hair. The greys are just resistant to the dye I normally use.
Stop using dye, period. Your hair is still gray underneath the dye. Your hair stops producing its natural color because you have no melanin in those follicles. There is a substance that you can massage into your hair that is similar to melanin to the point where your hair starts producing color again. YOUR color. It usually takes about two months for the transformation to be complete. With dye, you show up at work the next day and everyone knows you dyed your hair. With youthair (sic), you use it and the change occurs so gradually, (2 months) that no one can tell. All they know is that for some reason, you are looking younger.
