Skin And Tone In Glamour Images
Shooting Glamour Photos, an artist is concentrated on demonstrating the beauty and sensuality of their model - that is why every single nuance counts, including her skin. The first thing to be considered is how much skin to show off and the second concerns the type of skin tone the model has so that a glamour image photographer makes the correct exposure to create an effective glamour image.
A glamour photograph never boils down to a simple depiction of a nude body - there is much more art to it. A glamour image should be striking without being vulgar, and moreover, as a photographer, you have to make the model comfortable on how much of skin she wants to show off. Some models are ready to bare all for glamour shots while some are comfortable with bras, panties, and thongs; there are models who are willing to do nude but the private parts to be covered by shadows so that they dont feel embarrassed by the final glamour image result. As a professional, you will have to keep those matters in mind.
The second important issue would be the tone of your model's skin. The tones vary from all types of fair and dark, so it is really an important question. There are different complexions, like black, white, yellow, or brown skin depending on what race or part of the world the model is from. As an amateur in Beauty Photography, you may tend to use the same kind of exposure in shooting glamour images disregarding the color of your models skin. This will not bring such good outcome as it might if you consider the tones of skin. If you wish to produce some perfectly exposed pictures, you will need to bear in mind that fair and dark tones of skin require somewhat different camera adjustment. For models with fair skin, you will need to narrow the diaphragm to approximately stop; for darker complexion, it would be advisable to decrease the aperture number, thus opening the diaphragm by stop. In addition, the region of your exposure also influences the result. Most of the time, it is the face and not the entire body that is the primary focus of the glamour image shot, therefore, you can try making exposure depending on the face of the model rather than the entire body. If you make use of this approach, you will be able to customize your exposure according to the tone of skin and what your model decided to show, thus producing perfect glamour images.
