How To Choose A Man's Wedding Ring
The average woman owns many pieces of jewelry, including an engagement or wedding ring if she is married, but when it comes to most men, the wedding ring is not only the most important piece of jewelry they’ll ever wear, it’s the only piece. For that reason, it becomes extremely vital that, when shopping for a men’s wedding ring you know exactly what to look for. Here we will outline some tips to help you find the perfect wedding ring, regardless of your particular style or preference.
The design of your ring is perhaps the most important decision you will make when it comes to buying a men’s wedding ring. With literally thousands of styles to choose from, the possibilities are endless, but keep in mind that your wedding ring is a “long-term” piece of jewelry—something you will wear for many, many years. Even though you think you may prefer a more modern looking ring today, this might not be the case 20-30 years down the road. Once you decide on a style—traditional versus modern—the rest is pretty easy.
Now that you’ve come up with the style and design of your ring, you’ll need to decide upon a precious metal. While it’s true that most men choose a solid band of yellow gold, there are many other options to choose from including silver, titanium, platinum and even ceramic materials. Each of these has its advantages and disadvantages, so take some time to become familiar with each, and make the best decision for your personal situation.
One of the mistakes that several men make when shopping for a wedding ring is procrastination. They wait until the last minute, and in many cases this is much too late. Try to give yourself at least a two-month window between the time you first start to shop and the day of your wedding. This will allow for any special orders or engraving the jewelry shop needs to perform, and can help you rest a bit easier at night.
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and the ring you will wear will forever stand as a symbol of the commitment and love you will share with your wife for the rest of your days. Go with your heart when buying a wedding ring (although you should definitely go early), and you’re sure to find a design and style which is perfect for this special day and beyond.

If I would've picked my own engagement ring I probably would've picked one with a sapphire as the center stone. I love diamonds, don't get me wrong lol but engagement rings can have any stone and sapphires just are my personal favorite. The rings you posted links for are very pretty, the second one is my favorite of the two, I just like the style. I would be thrilled to get either one though. Diamond engagment rings started as a status symbol and have become the norm but I've seen all types of stones in engagement rings and have never thought anything about it.
